Zhongheng "John" Yin, MD, has received a $1,000 2024 Perioperative Echocardiography Council Travel Grant from the American Society of Echocardiography Foundation.

Doximity's Nomination Survey allows physicians to nominate residency programs known for providing outstanding clinical training in their specialty. These nominations shape a nationally representative analysis, guiding medical students in their quest to identify premier training programs through Doximity's Residency Navigator.

Our residents Jacob Pickle, MD, MBA, and Austin Smith, MD, were selected by the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine Class of 2025 to receive the Gold Foundation Humanism and Excellence in Teaching Award / "Little Apple" Award for their embodiment of the highest ideals of the medical profession.

We matched 22 top students (15 categorical and three advanced residents; three Panther Research Scholars; and one Combined Anesthesiology/Pediatrics resident) from the 1,880 candidates who applied to our program.

Samir Yellapragada, Paul Lecker, DO, MBA, Miya Oliver, MD, and Craig Johnson, MD, won awards for presentations of their scholarly work.

The Light of Life Rescue Mission, with its commitment to providing food, shelter, and hope to those battling homelessness, poverty, or addiction, is making a significant impact in our community.

This year, PARRC and the annual meetings of the Pennsylvania Pain Society and the Pennsylvania Society of Anesthesiologists will be linked, forming the 2024 Tri-Alliance Symposium on February 29 – March 3, 2024, at the Omni William Penn Hotel in Pittsburgh.
