Our department is committed to helping every faculty member achieve their maximum potential. To this end, we have developed a series of faculty professional development programs.

All faculty members and trainees are invited to attend our Faculty Development Seminar Series, held virtually the second Thursdays of each month from 5 – 6 PM.

For new faculty members joining our department, a series of manuals has been created. Each manual concisely summarizes various academic aspects of teaching, scholarly activity, and faculty development.

We offer several different mentorship programs, including three for faculty. The programs are administered through MentorcliQ, and you can learn more in our Mentorship website section.

Physician well-being has been recognized as an acute issue to be addressed. UPMC offers a number of physician wellness programs and AMA honors UPMC as one of 22 national medical organizations committing to cutting doctor burnout.
