Stephanie A. Waters, MSN, CRNA, a nurse anesthetist at UPMC Mercy co-authored a children’s book in honor of her brother Kevin who passed away suddenly from encephalitis in January, aged 30.

CRNAs set up a team under the Magee Anesthesia Cares committee to help raise money to fund care for children in need, especially those requiring extended and involved care.
Les studied at the University of Pittsburgh School of Nurse Anesthesia, graduating in 2009 with a Master of Science of Nursing. He began employment at UPMC Presbyterian as a Level II CRNA in 2009 and was promoted to Level 2 Senior in the CRNA Career Ladder. He was known for his great work ethic.
