The Cameos of Caring® Program & Awards pays tribute to the exceptional contributions of nurses working in acute care hospitals.

The 4th Annual Advanced Practice Provider Academy will be held November 3-4, 2023, at Cumberland Woodlands Village in Allison Park, PA.

The UPMC ENABLED employee resource group partnered with other UPMC groups to participate in Disability Mentoring Day at UPMC Mercy on October 18th.

Stephanie A. Waters, MSN, CRNA, a nurse anesthetist at UPMC Mercy co-authored a children’s book in honor of her brother Kevin who passed away suddenly from encephalitis in January, aged 30.

Sigma's International Awards for Nursing Excellence recognize superior achievement in developing nurse leaders anywhere to improve healthcare everywhere by connected and empowered nurse leaders.

Molly S. Galbraith, MSN, CRNA, and Julie D. Ging, MSN, CRNA, both CRNAs at UPMC Presbyterian, won UPMC Physician Services’ “The Extra Mile” Quarter 2 Award.

Congratulations to the faculty and CRNAs who were selected as recipients of our department’s 2023 Chair’s Excellence Awards. These individuals are recognized by our Chair Dr. Aman Mahajan and department leaders for going above and beyond in their service to our patients and department.

CRNAs set up a team under the Magee Anesthesia Cares committee to help raise money to fund care for children in need, especially those requiring extended and involved care.

The award recognizes staff members who go above and beyond their job duties, maintain a high office morale, and actively display UPMC’s values.

Les studied at the University of Pittsburgh School of Nurse Anesthesia, graduating in 2009 with a Master of Science of Nursing. He began employment at UPMC Presbyterian as a Level II CRNA in 2009 and was promoted to Level 2 Senior in the CRNA Career Ladder. He was known for his great work ethic.
