We will present and moderate several posters, lectures, and workshops at the 2025 Thoracic Anesthesia Symposium and Society of Cardiovascular Anesthesiologists Meeting and Workshops in Montreal, Canada.

Congratulations to Drs. Michael Boisen, Theresa Gelzinis, and Quratulain Samoon, who successfully passed the American Board of Anesthesiology Adult Cardiac Anesthesiology Exam.

Dr. Subramanian received the SCA's Participant User File award for his research project "Association Effects of Social Determinants of Health on Complications After VAD Implantation: Exploration of the ZIP Code and Outcomes."

Erin A. Sullivan, MD, D.ABA, FASA, has been invited by the American Board of Anesthesiology to serve a two-year term as a member of their New Examiner Selection and Training (NEST) group.

This certification underscores Dr. Boucek’s extensive training and substantial experience in the perioperative care of surgical patients with cardiovascular conditions, as well as his proficiency in basic perioperative TEE. It also signifies his successful completion of the NBE Basic Perioperative TEE Examination.

Kathirvel Subramaniam, MD, MPH, FASE, will present at the 2024 CAS meeting, June 7 - 10, 2024, in Victoria, British Columbia.

Zhongheng "John" Yin, MD, has received a $1,000 2024 Perioperative Echocardiography Council Travel Grant from the American Society of Echocardiography Foundation.

Our faculty and trainees will present work at the 2024 Society of Cardiovascular Anesthesiologists (SCA) meetings in Toronto, Canada – the Thoracic Anesthesia Symposium & Workshops on April 26, the Cardiovascular Outcomes Research in Perioperative Medicine Conference from April 27 - 29, and the SCA Annual Meeting and Workshops, April 27 – 30.

Drs. Theresa Gelzinis and Kathirvel Subramaniam will participate in the International Society for Heart and Lung Transplantation 44th Annual Meeting & Scientific Sessions, April 10 – 13, 2024, Prague, Czech Republic.
