In celebration of National Nurses Week, UPMC Mercy hosted its annual Awards Luncheon to honor the dedication and excellence of its nursing staff. Among the highlights of the event was the announcement of this year’s recipients of the UPMC Mercy 2025 Advanced Practice Provider Award.
This award was presented to Cara J. Fleischman, MHS, CRNA, and Hannah Roach, CRNP, both members of UPMC Mercy’s dynamic anesthesia department. The award recognizes advanced practice providers (APPs) who demonstrate exceptional commitment to patient care, clinical excellence, and professionalism in their field.
Cara and Hannah were honored for their dedication to their patients and their consistent pursuit of excellence in clinical practice. Their colleagues described them as compassionate, highly skilled, and integral members of the care team.
“Cara and Hannah exemplify what it means to be leaders in advanced practice,” said Toni Orsino, Senior CRNA Director. “They go above and beyond every day to ensure the highest quality of care for our patients. We are incredibly proud to have them on our team.”
The Awards Luncheon brought together healthcare professionals from across the hospital to reflect on the hard work and impact of nurses and APPs throughout the year. It also served as a moment to recognize the vital role these professionals play in improving patient outcomes and supporting the healthcare system.
