Our residents Wesley Ramirez, MD; Kyle Bevers, MD; and Dylan Bard, MD, received our 2023 Chair's Distinction in Anesthesiology Knowledge Awards. Both the award and the American Board of Anesthesiology (ABA) recognize and commend our CA-1 residents whose scores on the ABA BASIC Board Exam rank in the top 10% nationally among all test takers.
The ABA BASIC Exam, which anesthesiology residents take at the end of their CA-1 year, is the first test in a three-exam process to earn ABA board certification. The distinction of scoring among the top 10% of examinees is quite an honor and evidence of the diligence and hard work of our 2023 awardees. Congratulations, Drs. Ramirez, Bevers, and Bard!
