Residents and Light of Life Rescue Mission Unite to Educate about Substance Abuse

"A group of department residents"

Each year, our anesthesiology residency program hosts a lecture dedicated to teaching about the risks of substance abuse. On May 9, 2019, the Light of Life Rescue Mission, an organization providing teaching, counseling, mentorship, shelter, food, and help for people in need in Pittsburgh, shared their stories and experiences regarding fighting opioid addiction in the Pittsburgh area as part of the annual lecture. Our residents are proud to continue building the relationship between our program and Light of Life, who have graciously teamed up with us for various community events over the years.
