Congratulations to our resident alumni Drs. Kelsey Bauer, Ian Brotman, Kathleen Coy, Andrew Hulme, Kaarin Michaelson, David Nelson, Eugene Raggi, Daniel Springer, Sara Straesser, Michael Thompson, Lieu Tran, and Nicole Verdecchia, who all passed the July 2018 National Board of Echocardiography (NBE) Basic TEE (transesophageal echocardiography) Examination.
Most of these physicians completed their required clinical training (150 basic TEE procedures reviewed + personally performed) during their residency and qualified to receive basic TEE certification from the NBE. Thanks to the TEE teaching experience provided by our cardiothoracic anesthesiologists in the operating room and during didactic lectures, as well as our June 2018 TEE Bootcamp for helping to bring this recent achievement to fruition.
