We are excited to announce that 100% of our 24 PGY-3 residents have passed the American Board of Anesthesiology (ABA) BASIC Examination on their first attempt.
The ABA BASIC Exam, taken at the conclusion of residents’ CA-1 year, is the first step in the three-part process toward board certification in anesthesiology. This remarkable achievement is a testament to the dedication, resilience, and academic excellence of our trainees.
Congratulations to each member of the 2027 Class. Your commitment—balancing the rigorous demands of clinical care with intensive exam preparation—embodies the very best of our department’s mission.
We also gratefully acknowledge our Residency Curriculum Committee and our dedicated faculty educators, whose time, mentorship, and didactic efforts laid the foundation for this outstanding result.
