Several members of our department participated in the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine (UPSOM) Academy of Master Educators (AME) 3rd annual Med Ed Day on September 21, 2018. The event celebrates the educational innovations and scholarship of students, fellows, residents, and faculty across all Pitt schools of the health sciences. The event is sponsored by the AME in partnership with the Office of Faculty Affairs, UPSOM Office of the Vice Dean, and the Office of Academic Career Development.
Residents Luke Davanzo, MD; Daniel P. Huettner, MD; and Anusari Dewasurendra, MD; adult cardiothoracic anesthesiology fellow Daniel Mandell, MD; and faculty member Kristin M. Ondecko Ligda, MD, FASA presented posters on a variety of education topics. Tetsuro Sakai, MD, PhD, MHA, FASA was a panel member for the discussion "How to Turn Medical Education into Scholarship."
