UPMC Passavant recently presented awards to honor their advanced practice providers (APPs) and physicians as part of the hospital’s APP Week. Congratulations to Joseph M. Kirby, MHS, CRNA, who received the APP of the Year Award and Daniel Mandell, MD, who received the Physician of the Year Award for the Surgery/Anesthesia category.
Over 1/3 of Passavant’s APPs are anesthesia-based, and many more APPs work in surgery. Mr. Kirby and Dr. Mandell were both chosen by votes from over 250 Passavant APPs to receive the awards.
