Another Victorious Year at PARRC 2022

"Headshots of the four department winners of PARRC 2022"

The virtual 16th Annual Pennsylvania Anesthesiology Resident Research Conference (PARRC) was hosted by the Department of Anesthesiology and Perioperative Medicine at Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center on Saturday, May 7. Per tradition, our residents presented a robust volume of their scholarly work. We couldn't have been prouder, given our residents gave 12 of the 38 presentations (six original research, six case reports), second only to the hosting institution (PSU 13, UPMC 12, Temple 6, Jefferson 5, Penn 2), reflecting all the hard work by our residents and their faculty mentors. Once again, our residents nearly swept all the awards at the meeting (all presentations and winners listed below). In addition, many of our faculty members participated in the conference as judges - Tyler Smith, MD; Andrea Ibarra, MD, MS; and Harikesh Subramanian, MBBS, as abstract judges and Phillip Adams, DO, FASA; Elizabeth Ungerman, MD; and Evan E. Lebovitz, MD, MBA, as presentation judges. Congratulations to all our residents, judges, and award winners on their tremendous participation! Also, mark your calendars for May 13, 2023 - we will be hosting PARRC 2023 in-person here in Pittsburgh!
