We recently participated in two UPMC “Tele-Town Halls,” forums where patients participate in question and answer sessions with panels of doctors and clinical experts.

The first Tele-Town Hall focused on Pain Management and Behavioral Health on January 26 and featured Trent Emerick, MD, MBA, and Susan Jarquin, PhD, MBA, explaining how our UPMC Pain Management multidisciplinary team can help patients who are living with chronic pain. The event attracted 1,735 attendees and was objectively very well received.

The second event spotlighted our Center for Perioperative Care (CPC) on February 7 and featured Stephen A. Esper, MD, MBA, explaining how the CPC helps prepare high-risk patients for surgery to help reduce surgical risks and tailor treatment to each individual’s needs. The town hall was very successful, attracting 1,882 attendees and achieving an above benchmark engagement rate.

UPMC Marketing will be creating a podcast to reinforce the messages from the Tele-Town Halls.
