Congratulations to resident Sean McDermott, MD, whose poster “Applying Machine Learning to Decrease Research Chart Reviews of Electronic Health Records: A Method of Automated Opioid Medication Classification for Pain Medicine Research” was selected as a winning poster for the American Academy of Pain Medicine (AAPM) 2020 Annual Meeting (“Innovation & Technology in Pain Medicine”) in National Harbor, MD. As a poster winner, Sean was invited to present a brief lecture on his poster topic to the annual meeting audience in a formal concurrent educational session and will receive a complimentary registration to the meeting, one night of complimentary lodging, and up to $500 travel reimbursement.
