January 28-February 3, 2018 marks the fourth annual Physician Anesthesiologists Week, a yearly event initiated by the American Society for Anesthesiologists (ASA) to spread awareness about the critical role physician anesthesiologists play in saving lives.
Every January, nurse anesthetists and physician-anesthesiologists celebrate their respective anesthesia professions, with National CRNA Week taking place the week prior to Physician Anesthesiologists Week. This year, our physicians and CRNAs united to celebrate both weeks by supporting a charity event to raise awareness of the opioid epidemic and raise funds for Light of Life Rescue Mission, an organization that helps homeless people and provides services to people who often suffer from addiction.
