JCVA Highlights Two Department Publications by Dr. Ezeldeen Abuelkasem, et al.

The Journal of Cardiothoracic and Vascular Anesthesia (JCVA) recently highlighted two publications coauthored by Ezeldeen Abuelkasem, MBBCh, MSc and colleagues from the Institute for Transfusion Medicine, University of Maryland, and New York University in their August 2019 issue.

First, the paper “Von Willebrand Factor-GP1bα Interactions in Venoarterial Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation Patient” was featured as the issue’s “Video of The Month.”

Also, world-renowned hemostasis research professors Gabor Erdoes, MD, PhD and Andreas Koster, MD, PhD discussed another paper by Dr. Abuelkasem and colleagues, “Clinical Impact of Protamine Titration-Based Heparin Neutralization in Patients Undergoing Coronary Bypass Grafting Surgery,” in their editorial:
