Congratulations to William Simmons, MD, who received the National Medical Association (NMA) Scroll of Merit “in recognition of his leadership and promotion of wellness, healthcare equality, medical education, and efforts towards increasing the pipeline of minority students entering medicine.”
Dr. Simmons received the award, the NMA’s highest honor for merit, at the Annual NMA Convention and Scientific Assembly in Los Angeles, CA on July 30, 2016. The honor was followed by a “Special Congressional Commendation of Recognition” of the award.
