Dr. Trent Emerick Named Co-Associate Director of Pain Medicine Fellowship

Congratulations to Trent Emerick, MD, MBA, who has been named Co-Associate Program Director of the Pain Medicine Fellowship, a role which will be shared with the existing Associate Program Director, John Hache, MD.

Dr. Emerick earned his MBA from The Pennsylvania State University in 2016, which he attended during both his residency and fellowship.  He completed both his anesthesiology residency and pain medicine fellowship at UPMC and graduated from the fellowship in 2015, after which he joined the Department of Anesthesiology, Division of Chronic Pain Medicine, where he is currently an Assistant Professor. Dr. Emerick has recently been instrumental in opening the UPMC Musculoskeletal Institute.

Dr. Emerick currently serves as a member of the University of Pittsburgh Physicians Board of Directors and is the Director of Quality Improvement and Innovation for the Division of Pain Medicine at UPMC.  He is a diplomate of the American Board of Anesthesiology and holds subspecialty board certification in pain management.
