Congratulations to Rita M. Patel, MD, who was selected to receive the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) Parker J. Palmer Courage to Lead Award.
The award celebrates Designated Institutional Officials/Associate Deans for Graduate Medical Education (GME) who demonstrate excellence in leading their institution’s graduate medical education enterprise. Dr. Patel was nominated for this award by the GME community at UPMC.
The award will be presented formally in March 2017 at the ACGME Annual Educational Meeting.
