Dr. Mark Hudson to Deliver Keynote Address at AACD Perioperative Leadership Summit

Dr. Mark HudsonIn an exclusive honor, Mark E. Hudson, MD, MBA, FASA, our Executive Vice Chair, Vice Chair for Clinical Operations, and Vice Chair for Clinical Business Development, will deliver the Jason S. Lane, MD, Leadership Keynote Lecture, “Operational Efficiency: Life in the Fast Lane” at the Association of Anesthesia Clinical Directors (AACD) Perioperative Leadership Summit. The Summit will be jointly provided by the American Society of Anesthesiologists and the AACD on March 22-24, 2024, in Scottsdale, Arizona.

Dr. Hudson, who also holds the titles of UPMC Richard J. Kuwik Endowed Professor and Richard J. Kuwik Professor of Anesthesiology in our department and Executive Director of Anesthesia Services for the UPMC Health System, is a nationally recognized authority on healthcare business and management and lead mentor of our award-winning Practice Management Research Team.

The AACD provides a forum for anesthesiologists whose primary responsibility is anesthesia practice and operating room (OR) management in recognition of the changing health care environment and the importance of OR efficiency, productivity, and cost containment. The organization offers a platform for physicians and other healthcare management leaders who are responsible for operational deployment and management within surgical services to allow the exchange of ideas with peers, connect with experienced anesthesiologists in the field, and engage in a collaborative forum to brainstorm solutions to problems.
