James W. Ibinson, MD, PhD, received the VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System’s Clinical Excellence Award for October 2021. The September award winner, Dr. Jignesh Unadkat, nominated Dr. Ibinson for this honor, sharing the following praise:
“Dr. Ibinson has been a perfect example of how clinically one can excel while juggling multiple other duties. Besides managing the OR schedule, Dr. Ibinson has been productive in his research endeavors, and he continues to manage resource allocation amongst different surgical specialties within the OR. He is always available and approachable. What sets him as a perfect candidate for the clinical excellence award is his ability to work with multiple teams to help everyone provide excellent care for our Veterans.”
