Several of our CRNAs were selected to receive UPMC Physician Services Division “Star” awards in recognition of their excellence!
Congratulations to Joseph Ferriero and Hannah Kuhn (both from UPMC Presbyterian) who were selected to receive UPMC’s quarterly “You Are a Star” Award for the 4th quarter of fiscal year (FY) 2018 (April 1-June 30, 2018). The award recognizes staff members who consistently assist with difficult problems inside or outside the scope of their regular job duties, pitch in to help others achieve UPMC’s goals, and maintain high morale through a kind word or positive outlook. Joe and Hannah will each receive a gift card and a certificate.
Congratulations also to Christine King (UPMC East) and Kim Wysocki (UPMC Presbyterian), who were winners of FY18 Annual “You Are a Star” Awards. Christine won a Gold Star Award, which recognizes employees with an exceptional understanding and dedication to the organization, actively contribute to an increase in practice revenue, consistently provide outstanding customer service and patient satisfaction, and set an example by continuously demonstrating a positive work ethic. Kim won the Platinum (Robert J. Mientus) Star Award, which recognizes staff members who consistently complete job assignments with maximum efficiency and effectiveness, improve workflow, demonstrate ownership and follow through on important projects, and/or contribute to the continued improvement of patient satisfaction and customer service.
Christine and Kim were invited to an employee recognition luncheon at The University Club on August 29, 2018, where the annual award winners were honored.
As annual Star Award winners, they will also represent Physician Services as honored guests at the system-wide UPMC ACES (Award for Commitment and Excellence in Service) ceremony. ACES is a prestigious honor bestowed upon fewer than 1 percent of UPMC staff.
