Congratulations to our faculty members Trent D. Emerick, MD, MBA, and Grace Lim, MD, MS, whose projects were winners selected for funding through the Virginia Kaufman Pain Research Challenge. Each project will receive $50,000:
- The Vanish Biodegradable Stimulator, a minimally invasive biodegradable nerve stimulator for chronic nerve pain, was devised by a team led by Dr. Trent Emerick
- A Bundled Care Approach to Chronic Pelvic Pain, a project that will evaluate intervention outcomes for women with chronic pelvic pain receiving bundled care in a multidisciplinary pain clinic, is a team project led by Dr. Jocelyn Fitzgerald in the Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology & Reproductive Sciences and includes team members Drs. Nicole Donnellan, Grace Lim, and Susan George
