Dr. Terence McAuliffe

We sadly announce the loss of a valued alumnus and colleague. Terence McAuliffe, MD, who completed an Anesthesiology/Critical Care Medicine Fellowship with the department in 1968, passed away on May 7, 2016. Terry was an outstanding anesthetist and administrator with a long and eminent career. He trained in England, Australia, and the US and worked in Australian and Saudi hospitals. He was Chair of the ASA (Western Australia [WA]), Faculty of Anaesthetists, Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (WA), and the Anaesthesia Mortality Committee of WA.  He was Head of Anaesthesia at Royal Perth (Rehabilitation) Hospital and also rose to Vice President of the AMA (WA). Terry was a respected clinician and established the first Acute Pain Service in WA. Our deepest sympathy to his wife Tricia and his family and friends.
