Dr. Andrea Ibarra to Receive BMSF Diversity in Clinical Trials Career Development Program Award

"Headshot of Doctor Ibarra"

Congratulations to Andrea J. Ibarra, MD, MS, who was selected to join the inaugural cohort of the Bristol Myers Squibb Foundation Diversity in Clinical Trials Career Development Program (BMSF DCTCDP) with a two-year award in recognition of her outstanding professional achievements and promise as a community-oriented clinical researcher.

The DCTCDP was created to increase the diversity of patients enrolled in clinical trials and ultimately enhance the development of therapeutics for all populations. Dr. Ibarra’s award will fund her participation in the study “Randomized Evaluation of Bromocriptine in Myocardial Recovery Therapy for Peripartum Cardiomyopathy (REBIRTH),” which aims to determine whether bromocriptine leads to heart function recovery using echocardiography and assess whether bromocriptine treatment response can be predicted by circulating biomarkers in women with peripartum cardiomyopathy.
