Anesthesiology Residency Program

The mission of the Anesthesiology Residency Program at the University of Pittsburgh is to prepare physicians to be consultants in perioperative medicine and future leaders in the field. This goal is accomplished through broad supervised clinical experience, a comprehensive multi-faceted didactic series, and active research. Our department takes great pride in the educational focus that permeates all aspects of resident training.

Combined Anesthesiology-Pediatrics Residency Program

The University of Pittsburgh Departments of Pediatrics and Anesthesiology are pleased to offer this dual board acceptable opportunity to train in both specialties. At the end of the five-year program, residents will be eligible to become board-certified in both pediatrics and anesthesiology.

The Nurse Anesthesiology Program is a graduate program in the School of Nursing's Department of Nurse Anesthesia. 

Anesthesiology Board Review Course

The UPP Department of Anesthesiology, the University of Pittsburgh, the University of Pittsburgh Center for Continuing Education in the Health Sciences, and CMEInfo are pleased to announce the 2015 Focused Anesthesiology Board Review Course.

Continuing Education

The Department of Anesthesiology offers continuing education courses through the Peter M. Winter Institute for Simulation, Education, and Research (WISER), a world-class multidisciplinary training and research facility.
