Department of
Anesthesiology and Perioperative Medicine

George J. Karam, MD

  • PGY-3 Resident

Hometown: Beckley, WV

Favorite Aspects of the UPMC Anesthesiology Residency: My co-residents are wonderful people. The department does a great job of putting together classes of interesting folks that tend to mesh well. The clinical faculty is equally fantastic and very supportive, and I've undoubtedly received a great education.

Hobbies: I'm into reading and learning about political economy/political philosophy, writing music, listening to podcasts, and petting my cat Rosa. When it's nice out, you'll usually find me biking around Pittsburgh, grabbing a bite to eat, or hanging out at one of the several amazing parks we have here.

Post-residency Plans: acute pain/regional fellowship, then wherever the music takes me...
