We are pleased to announce that our Neuroanesthesiology Fellowship has received accreditation from the International Council on Perioperative Neuroscience Training (ICPNT).
ICPNT accreditation recognizes fellowship programs that meet established international standards for education and training in neuroanesthesiology and perioperative neuroscience.
Under the direction of Sonal Sharma, MD, Associate Professor, the UPMC Neuroanesthesiology Fellowship provides advanced clinical training in the perioperative management of patients undergoing complex cranial, spine, neurovascular, and neurointerventional procedures. Fellows also participate in structured education, research, quality improvement, and multidisciplinary collaboration.
This accreditation reflects the support and contributions of our department leadership, faculty, multidisciplinary colleagues, and administrative teams. We are proud to join the international community of ICPNT-accredited programs and look forward to training the next generation of neuroanesthesiologists.
