Our residents Henry Guo, MD (PGY-4), Megan Turner, MD (PGY-3), Karen Xu, MD (PGY-3), Nathan Hyre, MD (PGY-2), Brandon Angalich, MD (PGY-1), and Ethan Crispell, MD (PGY-1) have been honored with the 2026 Chair’s Distinction in Anesthesiology Knowledge Awards for their exceptional scores on this year’s American Board of Anesthesiology (ABA) In-Training Examination (ITE), scoring at the 95th percentile or above on the most recent ITE taken in February.

The ITE is a vital evaluative tool that tracks knowledge acquisition and clinical understanding throughout the course of residency and fellowship training. Administered each year to all anesthesiology trainees nationwide, it provides a standardized measure of educational progress and supports continuous learning and excellence in the specialty.

We are proud to recognize Drs. Guo, Turner, Xu, Hyre, Angalich, and Crispell for this outstanding accomplishment and for their academic excellence in anesthesiology.
