During March 2026, certified registered nurse anesthetists (CRNAs) at UPMC Presbyterian hosted a monetary drive to support the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank.
Food banks typically see a surge in donations around Thanksgiving and Christmas, when many schools and organizations organize holiday drives. However, once the holiday season ends, donations often decline, despite ongoing community need.
Recognizing this gap, the Presbyterian CRNAs chose early spring as an opportunity to give back and help sustain local hunger‑relief efforts throughout the year.
We are proud to share that the drive raised $560 for the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank. According to the organization’s website, this contribution will help provide more than 1,500 meals to individuals and families across the region.
