A badge reading "BEST GRAD SCHOOLS – U.S. News & World Report – Nursing Anesthesia 2026."The University of Pittsburgh Doctor of Nursing Practice Nurse Anesthesia program has tied for fifth place in the 2026 U.S. News & World Report ranking of Best Graduate Schools.

Our department has maintained a close affiliation with the Pitt Nurse Anesthesia Program for many years, with many of our certified registered nurse anesthetists (CRNAs) serving as program faculty.

“Our continued placement among the top programs in the country reflects the strength of our academic–clinical partnership,” said Kerry Quisenberry, DNP, CRNA, Assistant Professor and Chair Department of Nurse Anesthesia and Director of the Nurse Anesthesia Program. “The education, mentorship, and clinical experiences our faculty provide our students every day are essential to their success and to the reputation of our program.”

Toni Orsino, MBA, CRNA, Senior CRNA Director in our department, echoed these sentiments. “The combined dedication of the CRNA Directors, CRNA-SRNA Clinical Coordinators, Pitt faculty, and all our clinical instructors clearly makes a meaningful difference in student development and program success. It is an honor to be associated with a program that holds itself to such a high standard.”
